Now that
the cellular world has exceeded 1.5 Billion customers world-wide, it
is even more important to consider how we can make applications grow
in the mobile data world, taking us from a verbal to a textual and
visual world. Evidence of more than 2 Billion text messages
per day on the GSM carrier networks globally count for a growing
portion of revenues, but this is just the start of this mobile data
revolution.
The
variety of services will increase in line with the ability to
maintain the quality of the mobile data service, whilst supporting
appropriate billing models. Such an increase could be put at risk by
privacy concerns and abuse phenomena – an area that WhiteCell specialises in - to
defend and support the growth in mobile
data.
WhiteCell’s
technical capability coupled with their strong customer focused
product development philosophy has helped to bring them to the
forefront of solutions that help optimise messaging communities from
the risk of wider attack from areas such as denial of service,
traffic control, spamming, filtering and privacy, fraud and
interception. The range of partnerships that are being developed by
WhiteCell have also led to stronger
implementation capability in the key global markets which they have
chosen to address.
When I
was asked four years ago to support their Advisory Board I had
neither cause nor inclination for hesitation. I am proud to be
